HOW THE
JOURNEY BEGAN

Sam and I attended a wedding together and noticed a few things that made us think, “There’s got to be a better way to do this.”

On the day, there were 3 photographers and 2 videographers, making it feel more like an episode of MAFS rather than a wedding. The two teams clearly didn’t get along, and the groom even had to step in. The bridal party was NOT thrilled about their upcoming portraits, and when we spoke to the teams, they mentioned a delivery time of 4-6 months after the wedding.

At the time, Sam was all about landscape photography, and I (Hayden) was focused on portrait work for fashion.

We decided to bring a fresh face to wedding photography and videography. No awkward tension, no stressful setups—just capturing your day in a way that feels natural and fun.

Cue the epic training montage. We shot free weddings and hustled our way to our first paid gig—6 hours of coverage, including drone, along with 70 hours of editing, for $699. We didn’t even know what GST was back then, so after taxes, we walked away with $630 and couldn’t have been happier.
Why? Because we were getting our name out there. We knew that great things take time, and we were in it for the long haul.

We posted our first ad on Gumtree (yep, Gumtree), booked 10 weddings from that, and that was the start of our first wedding season. Fast forward to today, and we’ve spent years honing our craft, refining the experience for our couples, and as a result have spent the last few seasons fully booked. We’re also proud to say we’ve just won 1st place at the Wedding Industry Awards.

Four years later, we’ve come a long way, but the exciting part?
We’re only getting started.

We’ve Since Featured in

So that’s a really touching story… but why should we choose you?

Take a deep breath, because here comes the “intense” sales pitch… not really, but let’s get real for a second.

When you’re browsing for your photographer and videographer, you’re probably asking yourself a few key questions:

  • What does their portfolio look like?

  • How many reviews do they have, and are they good?

  • Are their photos unique, or just the same basic wedding shots I’ve seen before?

  • Will they be the right fit for us and our day?

  • How responsive are they? Will I be waiting weeks for a reply?

  • How long will it take to get our final photos and videos?

  • What’s actually included in the packages?

  • And, of course, are they within our budget?

We get it—choosing your photographer and videographer is a big deal. Your wedding will be one of the most significant days of your life and they’re responsible for giving you the only memories of it. The day goes by in a blink—a day you’ve spent months planning, years imagining, and will talk about for the rest of your life. So entrusting us with that, is something we do take very seriously.

It was important to us to find a videographer and photographer that worked together so we knew they would be in sync on the day, which these guys were. They brought lots of energy and fun to the day, and had creative ways to tease out some joyful, candid shots.

They took the stress out of the wedding photos and really went with the flow, whilst still making sure they captured all the key shots, even with the groom’s large Italian family.

Hayden and Sam, we are so grateful that you were a part of our day!

Fun Fact: You’ll spend more time with your photographer and videographer on your wedding day than almost anyone else (except your partner). That’s why the experience and how comfortable you feel with them shouldn’t be overlooked just because of nice photos.
You wouldn’t marry someone just because they look good on paper… well, actually… let’s not get into that! But seriously, you need to get along! The experience you have with your photographer and videographer is just as important as the final gallery and films you receive.

Let’s be real—hiring separate photographers and videographers? Total headache. More meetings, more emails, more stress. We’ve been there, and when photo and video teams don’t mesh, it shows. They end up competing for shots, tension builds, and important moments get missed. Trust us, horror stories are real!

But not us. We’ve spent years perfecting our teamwork, giving you the best of both worlds—stunning photos and cinematic video, without the stress.

You’re hiring two best friends who love what they do almost as much as we love roasting each other. That chemistry makes the flow between photo and video seamless, and trust us, that’s something only experience—over 100 weddings’ worth—can bring.
No bossing you around—just great direction that makes you feel comfortable. When you’re having the best day of your life, the photos just happen.

If you want to be sure we’ll get along, we’ll even meet you for coffee before you decide to book. And for the record—every couple we’ve met in person has ended up booking us. Just saying. Plus, for every couple that trusts us, we share all our best secrets and tips through our Wedding Guides, helping you avoid the common headaches and make your wedding truly unique.

We’ll also shout you a drink at our pre-wedding planning session, where we’ll meet in person, build your itinerary, and finalise every detail. By the time your big day rolls around, we’ll be guiding you step by step, making sure everything runs smoothly. If it’s not obvious by now… we genuinely care.

Growing up in New Zealand I spent all my spare time in the hills, exploring the vast mountain ranges with good friends. This sparked my interest in landscape photography and from the moment I picked up my first dslr camera I was hooked.

I moved to Perth in 2012 and continued my photography journey, capturing WA from land and air and continually pushing my creative and physical limits to find and photograph areas not many have found before.

I tied the knot in Perth in 2019 and as I looked through my wedding album my interest in wedding photography begun. Hayden and I met shortly after this and our combined passion for photography and our creative vision prompted the beginning of this amazing Everlast journey.

Born and raised in Perth, Australia, I attended school and University in Fremantle. My obsession with film photography started when I stumbled upon my parents' old photos from the 70s and 80s. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Then I met Sam, and Everlast Creative was born!

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me hanging out with family and friends, planning my next travel adventure, working as a physiotherapist, or giving my dog an absurd amount of attention.

I’m super passionate about every wedding I shoot. I keep things relaxed and fun because, let’s be honest, the best photos are the natural ones. I'm not into those 101 awkward wedding poses! No love story is the same, and retelling yours from the best day of your life would be my absolute honor :)
