Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Privacy policies aren't exactly thrilling reading. We know.
But if you're trusting us with your name, contact details, wedding plans and occasionally a very detailed timeline of where everyone you love will be standing at 4:37pm on a Saturday, you deserve to know what we're doing with that information.
Everlast Creative Pty Ltd ("Everlast Creative", "we", "us" or "our") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we may share it with and what you can do if you'd like to access, correct or ask us about it.
1. What We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect things like:
your name, email address, phone number and contact details;
your partner's name and contact details where relevant;
your wedding date, venues, locations, timeline and planning information;
your photography or videography preferences, package selections and enquiries;
emails, messages and other correspondence with us;
billing, invoice and transaction information;
photographs, video and audio captured while providing our services;
information you choose to share about accessibility, dietary requirements, cultural or religious traditions or anything else relevant to your day;
information submitted through questionnaires, enquiry forms or booking platforms; and
technical information generated when you use our website, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and how you interact with the site.
Basically, we collect the information we reasonably need to answer your enquiry, plan your wedding and actually do the thing you've hired us to do.
2. How We Collect It
Most of it comes directly from you. Groundbreaking stuff.
We may collect information when you:
enquire through our website;
email, call or message us;
request or accept a quote;
book with us;
complete one of our questionnaires;
provide wedding-planning information;
make a payment or purchase; or
communicate with us before, during or after your wedding.
Sometimes information may also come from your partner, planner, venue, another person involved in the wedding, a referral source or one of our service providers where reasonably necessary.
Our website may also collect some technical information automatically through cookies and similar technology.
3. What We Use It For
Mostly the relatively unglamorous stuff that makes the glamorous stuff possible.
We may use your information to:
respond to enquiries;
prepare quotes and provide information about our services;
manage bookings;
plan and photograph or film weddings;
communicate with you;
coordinate timelines, locations and wedding requirements;
process invoices and payments;
edit, store and deliver galleries and films;
design albums, prints and other products;
provide customer support;
maintain appropriate business and accounting records;
operate and improve our website;
understand how people use our website;
protect our business and systems from misuse or security issues;
meet legal obligations and deal with disputes; and
do other things reasonably connected with why the information was provided to us in the first place.
Where we use wedding photographs or films in our portfolio, website, social media, advertising or awards, we'll do so in accordance with the permission provided through your Wedding Services Agreement or another applicable agreement.
4. Cookies
Sadly, not the choc-chip kind.
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work properly, remember preferences, understand how visitors use it and measure how our content and marketing perform.
We may use third-party services such as Google Analytics and other website, analytics or advertising tools where enabled.
These services may collect information such as your IP address, browser, device information, approximate location, referring website, pages viewed and interactions with our website.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings and, where available, the privacy controls on our website. Some parts of the site may not work quite as intended if certain cookies are disabled.
5. Who We Share Information With
We don't sell your personal information.
We do, however, run a photography and videography business, which means Hayden and Sam are not personally operating the servers, processing every card payment and manufacturing every album.
Where reasonably necessary, information may be provided to:
photographers, videographers, assistants or replacement professionals working with us;
website hosting and email providers;
booking and client-management platforms;
cloud storage, gallery and film-delivery services;
album manufacturers, printers and suppliers;
accounting, invoicing and payment providers;
analytics and technology providers;
professional advisers, insurers or legal representatives; and
government authorities or regulators where required or authorised by law.
We aim to provide those parties only with the information reasonably necessary for what they're doing for us.
6. Overseas Service Providers
Like most businesses that have bravely moved beyond filing cabinets and carrier pigeons, we use a number of cloud-based services to run Everlast Creative.
Some of the third-party services we use to run Everlast Creative may store, process or access personal information outside Australia.
Depending on the service being used, information may be handled in countries including the United States, New Zealand, Israel and countries within the European Union.
We take reasonable care when selecting the services we use and aim to work with established providers that maintain appropriate privacy and security practices.
7. Keeping Your Information Safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
Information may be stored electronically through our own systems and trusted third-party providers.
No online system is completely invincible — anyone promising otherwise is probably being a little ambitious — but we take reasonable steps to keep the information we hold appropriately protected.
Final wedding photographs and films are retained in accordance with the storage commitments contained in your Wedding Services Agreement.
8. How Long We Keep It
We don't keep everything forever just because storage is cheap.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain appropriate business records, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes or fulfil another legitimate business purpose.
Different information may therefore be kept for different lengths of time.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may securely delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.
9. Want to See or Correct Your Information?
If you'd like to know what personal information we hold about you, or you've noticed we've got something wrong, contact us.
We'd much rather correct it than confidently keep the wrong phone number for the next five years.
We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making certain changes. There may also be circumstances where we're permitted or required to refuse a request, in which case we'll explain why where applicable.
Email us at hello@everlastcreative.com.
10. Want Something Deleted?
You can contact us and ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we'll delete or de-identify it.
There may be some information we need to retain for legal, accounting, contractual, dispute-resolution or legitimate business reasons, so requesting deletion doesn't necessarily mean we're able to erase every record immediately.
11. Privacy Concerns or Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, please tell us.
Email hello@everlastcreative.com with enough information for us to understand what has happened and we'll investigate and respond within a reasonable period.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our business, technology or legal obligations change.
The latest version will always live on this page, together with the date it was last updated.
There won’t be any dramatic announcement or press conference. Unfortunately.
